We had a busy day

We just got back from doing lots of shopping for Higgins, Maggie and Bandit for the 4th Annual Doggone Dog Swap that our friend SPRINKLES is hosting. We had so much fun picking out lots of toys and treats. We just got done giving everything the official sniff over before placing it in the box to mail off to our fellow bloggers. I sure hope they like what we selected for them.

Mom has been in panic mode. Found out that our vet is out of Interceptor. Normally we would just switch to another brand but my brother Bokeh is part of the herding line and certain herding dogs have jeans genes in them that doesn't allow them to have Ivermectin and can kill them. So mom has been searching high and low to find somewhere that still has Interceptor. She finally found some over at Drs. Foster and Smith. She stocked up and we should be good to go for about 9 months and hopefully by that time Interceptor will be back in production again.

Later tonight Bokeh is going to see a Chiropractor. Mom and dad just want to make sure with all the jumping he does that he is aligned and in good shape.

Hope you are all staying cool, it is supposed to be over 100 degrees here today. Pheww.

Weimaraner Wednesday

We had some last minute donations roll in for Weim and Cheese. We are still trying to go through all our Weim and Cheese photos and will be sharing it all with you and letting you know how much we were able to raise. :)

This is a beautiful wine bottle stopper custom made by Erin at Three Scoops of Vanilla. Louisville Weimaraner Rescue will be having a ONE day pawty with Three Scoops of Vanilla on September 21st. On that one day 25% of the total sales will be donated back to LWR.

Cindy the AMAZING QUILTER sent us this BEAUTIFUL bag that she made. It has a beautiful Weimaraner embroidered on it as well. People bidding loved this piece in the auction.

Our friend June's mom is a Natural Balance rep and she sent a nice bag of goodies and treats and a coupon for a bag of Natural Balance dog food as well. (Kel, I am SO sorry we didn't get to get a photo of your item but do have video of it and will be sharing the video soon).

Thanks again to all our friends who helped spread the word about Weim and Cheese and especially to those of you who actually donated to the auction items. We truly appreciate it.

Bokeh's Agility Class

Bokeh finished his last week of Intermediate 2 class at IncrediPaws. He is looking much better. He still ins't sure that agility is fun like his disc dog stuff so we are working on making it more fun for him. In his final run through he actually got the zoomies, that made us happy because it seems like he is having a little more fun with it. Next class we are taking is Advanced weave poles and contacts with Jenn Crank.

We have such sweet friends

First of all, we would like to thank everyone who send condolences to us when we lost Harley. It has been a rough year loosing Samick last August, my mom's father in January and now Harley this month.

Maggie and Stella's mom, Dianne, gave mom the most beautiful bracelet. It is called a Rainbow Bridge bracelet and it has Harley and Samick's names engraved on it. It came with a copy of the Rainbow Bridge poem in the box too. We feel very fortunate to have such wonderful friends.

Mom loves her new bracelet and wears it every day.

Weimaraner Wednesday

Mom and dad went to something called "Weim and Cheese". I wasn't allowed to go, but they did bring me back this cool new Kuranda dog bed. I love it! It is so nice and comfy.

I'm back

Phew...have been so busy it has taken me away from Blogville. Momster's Weim and Cheese event is finally over so she has a little more time to help me blog (thanks Mom!).

So a few weekends ago mom and dad took Bokeh to something called the "Buckeye Bash". This was a big event for Disc Dogging as people could qualify to be part of a final competition. Bokeh did really good on the first day even though it was so hot. He actually had one round in toss and fetch that was perfect, meaning he caught all 4 of his 4 catches. His freestyle was a little off this weekend. Dad received some advice that he makes Bokeh run during his freestyle too much so dad has some things to learn and improve on with Bokeh. We were happy to find out though that Bokeh came in 5th place in the Toss and Fetch Professional division. He was up against people that have been doing this for years and years. People came in from Georgia and even Canada for this event (wait until I tell you about this one dog that mom and dad got to meet that was on Canada's Got Talent this year).

Here is a video of Bokeh's perfect round.

Weimaraner Wednesday

We are just a few days away from Louisville Weimaraner Rescue's 5th annual Weim and Cheese event. Mom had been looking forward to this since last year. More donations have been rolling in.

One of our volunteers did an adoption event at Moochie and Co. When she was getting ready to leave they gave her a HUGE box of goodies for the rescue (she didn't even ask them for anything).

All the stuff in the box: Photobucket

Phew...I think that is everything for now. We have more people that told us they are mailing in stuff this week to.

Rest in Peace my brother Harley

Last Friday evening was a very hard one for my family. Mom and dad had to make the super hard decision to help my brother Harley pass to the Rainbow Bridge. Harley was 14 and 1/2 years old and developed a tumor on his back leg. Mom and dad tried to keep him comfortable. Harley was on steroids to help with the tumor and pain meds but he got to the point where he couldn't get up and down himself, he would just lay and whimper. We just couldn't watch our boy suffer anymore and made the humane decision to let him go. Mom and dad got Harley when he was just 6 months old from the Ottwa County Humane Society near Lake Erie. Mom's dad actually picked Harley out and just knew there was something special about him. Grandpa Sunny always had a special spot for his Harley boy. Harley at 6 months old

Here is a picture of me and my brother Harley.

Photobucket

There are not many good photos of him because he never liked to have his picture taken

Photobucket

Even though he was 14 and could barley walk he still wanted to play Frisbee with Bokeh and I

Photobucket

As he got old he started to get more gray hairs (I think Bokeh caused most of them, BOL)

Photobucket

Such a sweet boy

Fond memories of my brothers now both gone, Samick and Harley.

Photobucket

He always tried to take my toys, but we played well together

We had many fun times at the dog park. Harley taught me how to swim.

Rest in Peace my sweet brothers. I hope you are having fun playing at the Rainbow Bridge without the fun police (Sister Starr) there to boss you boys around. We miss you very much.

Weimaraner Wednesday

When we went to the Park the other day, Starr went with us. But she kind of got in trouble. She kept eating the mud. Mom didn't want her to get sick so she had to go back on leash. These crazy Weims. :)

Memorial Day

Oh Memorial Day we went to the park again. Dad had to finish up a private photo session he did for our Sheltie friend.

While dad was busy working we got to play in the fountain at the Park of Roses.

Ready to jump in Bokeh?

The day before Memorial Day we met our friend Matt and his girl Bazooka at the park for a Frisbee and Swim playdate. It was so much fun.

We had fun contest to see who could get the toy first. Bazooka won.
